Bonus classWatchClinical studies published in peer-reviewed journals support the efficacy and safety of Kōlpos nonablative radiofrequency in gynecology.
Pilot randomized clinical trial involving 24 cervical cancer survivors treated with radiotherapy, comparing intravaginal nonablative radiofrequency (NARF) with promestriene cream for genitourinary syndrome. Both groups showed significantly improved sexual function (median FSFI rose from 13.0 to 23.1) and reduced pain during intercourse, burning, and vaginal dryness. Histological analysis of biopsies confirmed increased epithelial thickness and improved vaginal stroma, with a marked increase in vascularization in the NARF group. No adverse events were reported, supporting NARF as a safe and effective option for gynecologic cancer survivors.

This pilot randomized clinical trial examines the effects of intravaginal nonablative radiofrequency and topical promestriene on sexual function, vaginal symptoms, and mucosal histology in women with genitourinary syndrome after radiotherapy for cervical cancer. The findings report functional gains, improved vaginal tissue health, and quality of life, supporting Kōlpos NARF as a therapeutic alternative for oncology patients.
View publicationA case series published by the American Academy of Dermatology describes three women with vulvar lichen sclerosus refractory to topical corticosteroids, tacrolimus, pimecrolimus, and even vulvectomy. They received three monthly sessions of nonablative radiofrequency (15 minutes at 41 °C). All reported substantial reductions in dyspareunia, itching, and vulvar pain (scores fell from 8–9/10 to 2–3/10), as well as a return to enjoyable sexual activity. Post-treatment biopsies showed reduced hyperkeratosis, epithelial thickening, new collagen formation, increased vascularization, and reduced inflammatory infiltrate — without discomfort or complications, positioning NARF as a promising option for vulvar lichen sclerosus.
